Heritage Valley Kennedy Courtesy Car
NorthWest EMS works with Heritage Valley Health System to provide free transportation for patients who are being treated at Heritage Valley Kennedy Hospital. For more information on the courtesy car, please visit Heritage Valley's website here.
Wheelchair Van Services
NorthWest EMS provides specialized wheelchair van services for Heritage Valley Kennedy Hospital. Special requests for wheelchair van transport should be made by calling (412) 331-2600. This is not a public WCV service.
Event Standby
NorthWest EMS provides event standbys for local school events including varsity and junior varsity games as well as local neighborhood events. Ambulances can be staffed with two EMTs or one EMT and one Paramedic as needed. If you would like to have a NorthWest ambulance standby at your event, please contact Dylan Laplante at [email protected] or by calling (412) 331-2600.
Non-Emergency Transports
NorthWest EMS is contracted with hospitals, extended care facilities, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers and other agencies to provide high quality, reliable, and on-time non-emergency medical transportation.
Non-emergency transportation is provided in non-emergency situations to people who require special medical attention throughout transport, or for those who have no other means of getting to their medical appointments. Selecting NorthWest EMS to provide non-emergency transportation assures you of compassionate care from state-certified EMT's, AEMT's, Paramedics and PHRNs with experience in providing top-level medical transportation.

** It should be noted that an appropriate candidate for non-emergency medical transportation is medically stable, but still in need of medical support ** IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, DIAL 9-1-1
