Northwest EMS Annual Membership.

Residents of the North Boroughs who may have got a subcription from another ambulance service may disregard the mailing.  The North Boroughs and Sto / Rox Memberships mailing has been mailed as of Friday 3/27/09.  

The West Allegheny Memberships will be mailed in August 2009.

What to expect if you are a Member to NorthWest EMS:  In the event that you would require emergency ambulance transportation NorthWest EMS will bill a members health insurance.  Any balances due after will be written off.  For Members with a health insurance co pay, this too will be waived. 

Participants of the State Medicaid Programs are not eligible for Membership and NorthWest EMS is required to accept reimbursement as payment in full.

Non Emergency Ambulance transportation is subject to Medicare's rules regarding Medical Necessity and often require pre certification from a physician or pre approval from the health insurance.  A Customer Service Representative from NorthWest EMS will be able to assist you further in this process.

NorthWest EMS does not include the wheelchair van service under the annual membership and charges are the patients� responsibility.
