As a subscribed member of NorthWest EMS you can receive discounts on costs that would arise in the event that you should require emergency ambulance transportation. Most insurance companies, including Medicare, require you to pay a portion of your ambulance bill. By maintaining a large member base, we are able to apply those funds toward your unpaid balance.
What can I expect by subscribing?
NorthWest EMS will bill a member’s health insurance. As a subscribed member, any balances remaining will be written off. The co-payment will also be waived for members with a health insurance plan.
Participants of State Medicaid Programs are not eligible for membership and NorthWest EMS is required to accept reimbursement as payment in full.
Non-Emergency Ambulance transportation is subject to Medicare's rules regarding Medical Necessity Certification and often require pre-certification from a physician or pre-approval from your health insurance company. A Customer Service Representative from NorthWest EMS will be able to assist you further in this process.
It should also be noted that NorthWest EMS does not include wheelchair van service under the annual membership and such charges remain the patient’s responsibility.
